About ToolVerdict

An independent review site for SEO and marketing software — no sponsored rankings, no pay-to-play placements.

What this site is

ToolVerdict publishes hands-on reviews and comparisons of SEO and digital marketing tools. Every ranking on this site comes from actually using the software on real projects: running site audits, tracking keywords, analyzing backlinks, and testing competitor research workflows. When we say a tool is the best all-in-one or the best value pick, it's because that's what our testing showed — not because someone paid for the position.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Semrush, Ahrefs, SE Ranking, Moz, or any other software company mentioned on this site. Brand names appear here under nominative fair use, for the purpose of honest review and comparison.

How we test

Real projects, not demos. Reviews are based on weeks of use across content sites, client work, and e-commerce — not a 10-minute trial.
Same methodology for every tool. Affiliate relationships never change the test plan or the scoring.
Limits matter. We check plan caps (projects, tracked keywords, reports) because that's where buyers get surprised.
Pricing is re-checked, not printed. Vendors change prices often, so we stamp the check date and link to official pricing pages instead of publishing numbers that go stale.
Reviews are updated. Each article shows its last-updated date, and rankings are re-checked quarterly.

How we make money (affiliate disclosure)

Plain-English disclosure: ToolVerdict earns money through affiliate links. Some links on this site — for example, links to Semrush — are affiliate links: if you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the vendor at no extra cost to you. This is how the site funds its testing and stays free to read.

Three commitments that keep this honest:

Commissions don't buy rankings. Our testing methodology and scoring are identical for tools we earn from and tools we don't. Our best SEO tools ranking includes tools with no affiliate relationship to us, ranked on merit.
We publish real drawbacks. Every review includes a cons section with genuine criticisms — price, limits, learning curve — because a review without criticism isn't a review.
Disclosure is always visible. Every page containing affiliate links carries a disclosure box near the top and near purchase CTAs, plus this page and our dedicated disclosure page.
